Gregory has been in the entertainment business for over 35 years as an actor, director, producer, songwriter, playwright, screenwriter, and author. Gregory has been in the entertainment business for over 35 years as an actor, director, producer, songwriter, playwright, screenwriter, and author. His plays and musicals include: Hiding in Daylight (Readings at Take Pride, Bloomfield! festival in New Jersey, The Studios of Key West in Florida, Community Conversations in Dallas, TX) Well With My Soul (Seeing Place Theater Reading Series, NYC), Invisible Fences written with Stephen Kitsakos (4th Wall Theatre M.I.D. Stage Series), Ashokan: The Story of a Reservoir written with Stephen Kitsakos and Perdita Finn (commissioned by the Catskill Watershed Corporation), and three children's musical all produced by the Garland Children's Theatre in Garland, Texas.
For film he is the director and screenwriter of the the short film Reparations (Best Male Director Vancouver Indie Film Festival 2021, official selection Emerging Filmmaker Showcase the American Pavillon at Cannes, official selection in HollyShorts 6th annual screenplay contest, Semi-Finalist Filmatic Screenplay Awards) and accepted in numerous festivals for 2020-2021. He is the winner of the 2015 Indie Soul Best Director Award (Boston International Film Festival), April 2015 Best Director (Los Angeles International Film Festival Awards), and 2015 Remi Award winner (World-fest - Houston) for his short film Mother. He wrote the screenplay and is co-producer of Hiding in Daylight, currently streaming on Amazon and REVRY after playing film festivals and winning the IndieFest Film Award of Excellence for LGBT film and for script/writer, the Reel East Texas Film Festival Best Short Screenplay, Best Drama at QueerX, and special jury award at the Global Impact Film Festival in Washington DC. It was also a finalist at the Cannes Film Festival American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.
Other projects include: writing the zoom mini play The Check In and several screenplay projects (including a feature film version of Hiding in Daylight) for which some have won screenwriting awards.
As an actor, he started his career in the late 80s doing summer stock, regional theater, tours (toured for several years as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle), and some off-off Broadway work. As an actor, he started his career in the late 80s doing summer stock, regional theater, tours (toured for several years as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle), and some off-off Broadway work. He took a detour into corporate America for 13 years, but found his way back to the stage and some recent favorite roles have included Father Flynn in Doubt, Cal Porter in Mothers and Sons, Edward Bloom in Big Fish The Musical, Dan in Next to Normal, Alan Turing in A Most Secret War, the Preacher in Violet, and .Whizzer in Falsettos. Recently he has found himself in front of the camera and has had leading roles in several short films, worked on TV shows, and has enjoyed being a commercial/UGC actor.
He has had short stories and poetry published in numerous anthologies and websites, had over ten produced stage shows, and has been the recipient of musical grants from BMI, ASCAP and the Watershed Foundation. He is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and The Dramatist Guild. Gregory has contributed articles, blogs, & reviews to BroadwayWorld.com, Huffingtonpost.com, Bwayvoice.com, Baristanet.com, Examiner.com, and Outinjersey.net, has served as a freelance director and script writer for Broadway Live; a media company specializing in original programming for the New York Theater scene, and has been featured and interviewed in The Advocate, Huffington Post, PBS One-on-One with Steve Adubato, Sirius Radio The Morning Jolt, and Next Magazine.
Gregory has been an advocate for diversity for years and has shown that in his writing, discussions at school, and vocal presence on social media. Advocacy subjects have included: autism, equality, reparations, LGBTQ rights, empathy, and social justice.

Gregory has received writing grants from BMI, ASCAP, the Watershed Foundation and is a member of The Dramatist Guild, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and a former member of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop.
